<p>My name is Shelley Hill-Worthen. I have lived in Mountain Green for 27 years with my husband and son, and I am proud to call Morgan County home. I am a licensed architect, wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, proud citizen—and a Democrat running for Morgan County Commissioner At Large. I am ready to listen to the residents of Morgan County and work hard to implement your wishes.</p>

<h2>Why am I running?</h2><h4>I decided to run for office after seeing too many uncontested elections and growing concerned about large-scale proposals for development.  These include hundreds of new homes planned along Trapper’s Loop  and exclusive developments where ordinary citizens are not allowed to enter. Like many of you, I care deeply about sustainable growth, responsible development, and the infrastructure needed to support our community. Strong communities support families through recreation and open space, reliable infrastructure, quality schools, childcare, and public safety. We must also continue to support our farmers, seniors, and working families in smart, responsible ways</p>

<p>Support strong public schools and vocational programs</p><p>Partner with community colleges and trade programs</p><p>Create pathways for young people to stay, work, and raise families locally</p><p>Support 4-H, FFA, and youth leadership programs</p><p><strong>Goal:</strong> A future where our kids don’t have to leave to succeed.</p>

<p>We need planning for traffic and infrastructure to deal with pending development.  I can work hard for our interests and listen to Morgan residents.</p>

<p>Fix roads and bridges <em>before</em> they become emergencies</p><p>Expand high-speed internet access to farms and remote homes</p><p>Ensure infrastructure funding is distributed fairly— and wisely</p><p><strong>Goal:</strong> Safe roads and reliable internet for work, school, and healthcare.</p>
